To move your events to a new phone, use Moments' online backup and restore.
Before you switch devices
- On your old device, open Moments > Settings > Backup & sync and confirm a recent backup timestamp.
Restoring on the new device
- Install Moments from the App Store / Play Store.
- Open the app and Sign in using the same account you used for backup (Sign in with Apple / Google / app account).
- Go to Settings > Backup & sync > Login. Authenticate using your Google or Apple accounts.
- Wait for the restore to complete. Large backups (many events) may take several seconds.
Verification
- After completion your events and most settings should appear in the app. Check that custom backgrounds and event details match.
If restore fails
- Confirm you signed into the same account used to create the backup.
- Ensure a stable Wi‑Fi connection.
- If you still have issues, collect a screenshot of Settings > Backup & sync and contact support (include account email and approximate backup date).
Notes on limitations
- Widget placements on the home screen are device-specific and will need to be re-added on the new device.
- Some device-specific settings may not transfer.
