How to enable and customize countdown notifications
Turn on notifications for events and set how far in advance you want reminders.
Notifications help you remember important dates before they arrive.
Enable notifications in the app

Open the app and tap the gear icon on top left of the screen.

Look for "Configure reminders" button (with a bell icon).

Activate notifications and/or choose the reminder options.
Ensure device permissions are correct

iOS: Settings > Notifications > Moments > Allow Notifications must be ON and the alert style set to Banners or Alerts.

Android: Settings > Apps > Moments > Notifications must be allowed. Also check your device’s Do Not Disturb settings.
Verification
- When the reminder time arrives you should see a notification with the event title and countdown.
Known issues

If you change time zones, recurring reminders may need to be re-saved to apply the new local time. Simply add or update one event and all will get reprocessed.

🤖 On Android: if your device blocks background activity for battery saving, notifications may be delayed; disable battery optimization for Moments. This should not increase battery consumption -- notifications are pre-scheduled and are not calculated on background.
