Troubleshooting: notifications not appearing

If you aren’t getting notifications from Moments, try these steps in order.

Check in-app reminder settings
- Open the event > Edit > Notifications: confirm it’s enabled and a reminder time is set.
Verify device notification permissions
- iOS: Settings > Notifications > Moments > Allow Notifications = ON.
- Android: Settings > Apps > Moments > Notifications = ON. Also check channel-specific settings inside the app’s notification page.
Disable battery optimizations
- Android: Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > Find Moments > Don’t optimize.
- iOS: Ensure Low Power Mode is off when you expect timely notifications.
Confirm Do Not Disturb / Focus mode
- If DND/Focus is active, notifications may be silenced. Add Moments to allowed apps or disable DND.
Reboot and update
- Restart your device and make sure Moments is updated to the latest version in the App Store / Play Store.
Reinstall as a last resort
- 🚨Attention: First make sure you are signed in. This will make sure you will not lose your events.
- If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall Moments, then restore from backup by signing in again using the same Google/Apple account.
